Ferndale Downtown Association (FDA)

The primary goal of the FDA is to initiate and support activities that help revitalize the economy, appearance and image of downtown Ferndale using the National Main Street Center’s 4-point approach:

  • Economic Restructuring
  • Design
  • Organization
  • Promotion

The Ferndale Downtown Association (“FDA”) was founded in 2005 for the purpose of promoting a healthy and vibrant downtown city core.  Our primary geographic areas are Main Street, between the Pioneer Bridge (Nooksack River) and the new Ferndale Library out Portal Way.
We sponsor several downtown events throughout the year including the Annual Spring City Wide Clean-Up, The Harvest Festival, and the Outdoor Holiday Light Competition. These projects are supported through member dues and donations (we are a qualified IRS 501(c) group).

Among the projects we have supported are the green memorial benches found up and down Main Street and Ferndale banners.  If you are interested in purchasing and dedicating a bench or banner, please contact us! We hope to complete the banners down 2nd Ave. and also out Portal Way.

The membership of FDA (anyone who is interested in downtown Ferndale) meets quarterly.  Dates will be posted on Facebook, so please follow us.

And yes, we are happy to receive donations (tax deductible, as we are 501c group).
